The MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) is back! So why not relive some of the OMG moments of the past VMAs before new outrageous incidents take place.
The Drunk Intruder
When Taylor Swift triumphed over Beyoncé for the Best Female Video, Kanye West was really displeased. The country singer was in the middle of her speech when the rapper came on stage, took the mic away, and stole the limelight from her by telling the audience that it was B who had one of the best videos of all time.
Meat Fashion
We’re always looking forward to see what the eccentric Lady Gaga will be wearing next but when she accepted her Video Of The Year Moonman in a meat dress, we were flabbergasted. Made from real meat by designer Franc Fernadez, the singer also had a meat hat and clutch to go with the bizarre dress.
Worst Comeback
2007 was definitely not the year for Brittany Spears. Remember those famous shots of her spontaneously shaving her heads and assaulting the paparazzi with an umbrella? Well months after that, the singer performed at the MTV Video Music Awards in a totally-revealing and absolutely-tight outfit that showcased an out of shape body and earned her the worst comeback in MTV.
Nearly Exposed Body Part
Lil’ Kim literally stopped all the traffic when she came to the MTV Video Music Awards in a glittery one-piece jumpsuit that only covered one of her right boob while the other one is barely covered with a sparkly stick-on. The outrageous outfit became such a hit for the night especially after the legendary Diana Ross who was so fascinated by it, decided to touch and feel the MC’s breast on live TV.
The Unforgettable Smooches
Voted as the most outrageous moment on VMA, who could ever forget the infamous incident where Madonna locked lips with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera on air. It became such a global hit the very next day but sadly, the judge of The Voice brief smooch with her Madgesty was lost in the celeb news radar compared to Britney.
