Review: LUSH - Mask of Magnaminty

2012.02.23 19:19:43

Hi Sweeties!

As mention on the previous post, i'll do a proper review on LUSH Mask Of Magnaminty.

If you have not seen it, view it here: http://winddyychoco.onsugar.com/Haul-from-LUSH-21536645

I've saw & heard alot of raves about this mask, either from internet reviews or friends. So i decided to give it a shot!

So, what does M.O.M does?

"Deep cleansing, minty face and back pack. After an overnight flight, a marathon in a rabbit suit or a walk along the Marylebone Road during rush hour, do you feel a deep need to be scrubbed clean? Here's a cleansing mask to do exactly that; China clay and bentonite gel will pull the dirt from your pores, ground aduki beans and evening primrose seeds exfoliate surface skin cells, and peppermint oil will make you feel so fresh and minty that you'll forget you were ever grubby"

I wanted to get the smaller tub(125g, S$20), but bf said bigger tub(315g, S$35) is more price worth.

If you know, most LUSH products comes with an expiry date as they contains no preservative or in a must, less preservative as they uses fresh ingredients! For M.O.M, is 4 months. But by the time they shipped it over, it'll expire in 2-3 months time. But well, if i can't manage to finish off mine within the time frame, i'll use it on my body instead of face. hehe!

LUSH Mask of Magnaminty is a mud-type kind of mask & contains natural ingredients like Honey, Ground Aduki Beans, Evening Primrose Seeds, Peppermint Oil, Vanilla Absolute and etc .... All-in-all, a good treat for your skin!

Just when you started applying it on your face, the peppermint oil in the mask gives you a cool and refreshing feel. Especially great for your skin when it's in the summer time where everyone is looking around for air-con!

Use clean finger and scoop out the mask and apply directly on your face. Avoid the eyes area as you doesn't want the peppermint to sting your eyes!

- pardon for my this green scary looking face. boo =( -

As you can see from the picture, those little tiny bits are actually Ground Aduki Beans! They are there to serve as a purpose for exfoliating your face while washing the mask off! Do not underestimate these beans! It may look small/nothing on camera, but when you wash them off, you can feel it's actually quite big! The feeling of the beans exfoliating my skin is quite comfortable for me. But don't do it too harshly.

After the wash, i feel my skin is cleaner, softer and smoother! Even when applying my skincare regime, all the product is absorbed fast into my skin! The cooling effect last for hours even after removing the mask! How cool is that?? :D

Ingredients: - refer to the picture below for the full list of ingredients -

Direction of use: Apply on face, allow it to dry. You can feel your face is getting tighten/stretchy. Slightly splash water on your face and exfoliate your skin in circular motion, after that wash your face with water for few more times to remove the mask.

After wash, you can feel your skin is soft and smooth. Follow up with your daily skincare regime and you're done!

Pros:

- Deep Cleansing

- Cool & Refreshing upon applying

- Nice refreshing Peppermint scent

- 2-in-1 : Mask + Exfoliating

- Contains natural ingredients & less/no preservative

- Easy to wash off

Cons:

- A little expensive if you're in budget

- short life-span

Price: 125g for S$20, 315g for S$35

Packaging: Come in their usual black tub. Family members might mistaken it as ice-cream! (yes, it happen to me! but not in the fridge. My bro thought why i put ice cream in my room! HAHAHA!!)

Overall: GREAT product! Will definitely repurchase it again! but maybe 125g instead. hehe =X
